About Rugby School
Established in 1567, Rugby School stands as one of the nation's oldest boarding institutions, boasting a rich history. Over the years, the school has hosted numerous notable individuals, including the renowned author of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," Lewis Carroll. However, on an international scale, this location is perhaps most famous for being the birthplace of rugby, thanks to a moment of spontaneous rule-breaking by one of its students, William Webb Ellis, during a football game.
The school, known for its expansive grounds, offers an ideal setting for our summer programme, ensuring safety, a convenient location, and access to excellent facilities.
Residential Camps
1. Daily English Lessons
Students participate in three hours of English classes each morning and in the afternoons are practicing their English skills through engaging and creative activities.
Lessons take place within the historic classrooms of Rugby School. The historic setting adds a unique charm, blending modern language instruction with Rugby School's rich heritage.
2. Group Sports and Activities
Our Summer camps are not just about language learning; they're about unforgettable experiences.
Join us for a 2-week immersive and culturally rich Summer camp experience, where you can improve your English while making lifelong friends and memories. 3. Day Trips
As an integral component of our programme, students enjoy the excitement of at least two full-day excursions, with one of these captivating outings destined for the historic cities of Oxford or Cambridge. Here, our students will have the unique opportunity to delve into the intellectual and cultural treasures that define these iconic academic institutions. This enriching experience not only complements our language learning curriculum but also broadens horizons and fosters a deeper appreciation for the historical and academic heritage of the United Kingdom.
4. Online EAL Follow-Ups
Our camps come with the added benefit of exclusive 1:1 online EAL follow-up sessions. Included with the summer camp purchase, these personalised sessions are tailored to address specific areas of improvement.
These virtual one-on-one sessions serve as a valuable supplement, reinforcing and expanding upon the skills acquired during the summer camp. This additional layer of support is designed to ensure lasting language proficiency into the academic year.
